Hello world! Here's a new linocut project, inspired by my trip to Bulgaria and the local folklore. Here's my representation of a traditional bride. Amazing, isn’t it? You can see in slide 4 the photo I took at the museum and used as a model.

Unfortunately for me, this lady will also have to wait until the end of my trip, as I don't have large enough lino blocks in my house on wheels 🚐 . I really need to stop with big projects and concentrate on smaller ones 🫣

Salut le monde ! Voici un nouveau projet de linogravure, inspiré de mon voyage en Bulgarie et de la découverte du folklore local. Voici donc ma représentation (assez fidèle) d’une mariée traditionnelle. Incroyable non ? Je vous mets à côté la photo que j’ai prise au musée et qui m’a servie de modèle.

Malheureusement pour moi, cette gravure devra elle aussi attendre la fin de mon voyage car je n’ai pas de plaques de lino assez grandes dans ma maison sur roues 🚐. Il faut que j’arrête avec les grands projets et que je me concentre sur des plus petits 🫣

I’m late... it’s the story of my life! I’ve never been good with social media. Instagram has pointed out to me that I’m not present enough. The visibility rate of my publications has been plummeting for over a year. Never mind ! Especially since my life outside social media is incredible ! I’m fed by different landscapes every day, I’m full of emotions, I meet new people... Ideas for prints are constantly forming and distorting in my head. I also want to work with other techniques like pastel, pencil, paint... Sometimes I think of sharing it here, but often I get caught up in my thoughts and forget that someone might be interested. It’s so true that I forgot to share with you this test print of my little perched houses…

To those who will take the time to read this post, thank you for your presence despite my fickleness! I always appreciate your feedback.

Je suis à la bourre… c’est l’histoire de ma vie ! Je n’ai jamais été douée avec les réseaux sociaux. Instagram me fait bien remarquer d’ailleurs, que je ne suis pas assez présente. Le taux de visibilité des mes publications est en chute libre depuis plus d’un an. Tant pis. Surtout qu’en dehors des réseaux sociaux ma vie est incroyablement riche ! Je me nourris de paysages différents tout les jours, je fais le plein d’émotions, je fais des rencontres… Des idées de gravures se forment et se déforment dans ma tête constamment. J’ai aussi envie de travailler d’autres techniques comme le pastel, le crayon, la peinture… Des fois je pense à partager ça ici, mais souvent je suis prise dans mes pensées et j’oublie que ça pourrait intéresser quelqu’un. C’est tellement vrai que j’ai oublié de partager avec vous ce test d’impression de mes petites maisons perchées…

À ceux qui prendront le temps de lire ce post, merci de votre présence malgré mon inconstance ! J’apprécie toujours chacun de vos retours.

6 minutes shorten into 1 ! For this block I decided to test for the first time a little object I’d bought that had nothing to do with linocutting. When I saw it, I thought it might come in handy for applying good pressure to small details (I didn’t take my big glass barens with me on the trip, for fear of breaking them). Are you familiar with these little rose quartz facial massage tools? They’re hard with several angles and facets, really perfect for precision printing!

Ps: it’s when you think “lino” before “massage” that you know you’re passionate 😂

Alors pour cette plaque j’ai décidé de tester pour la première fois un petit objet que j’avais acheté et qui n’a rien à voir avec la linogravure. En le voyant je m’étais dit qu’il pourrait s’avérer bien utile pour appliquer une bonne pression sur les petits détails. (Je n’ai pas osé partir en voyage avec mes gros barens en verre, trop peur de les casser). Connaissez-vous ces petits outils de massage pour le visage en quartz rose imprimer avec précision !

Ps : c’est quand tu penses “lino” avant “massage” que tu sais que tu es passionnée 😂
